Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in serious condition.
Memorials across West Virginia have taken place in their remembrance.
Presidential Offer
The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both soldiers of the West Virginia Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”
Public Reaction
Mourners assembled over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of the president’s national effort to aid law enforcement in the capital.
Paying Tribute to the Soldier
“She was the kind of student that teachers hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, stated to the media. “She was sweet, caring and always eager to support those in need.”
Funeral arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.
Legal Actions and Policy Revisions

Status of Andrew Wolfe
Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in February 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, according to the AP.
He continues to receive treatment and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey mentioned on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.
Attorney general the attorney general told Fox News Sunday that she aimed to speak to the family.
Legacy of the Fallen Soldier
Sarah, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County High in 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a military police officer with excellence, according to the military.
“She had a lot of compassion and she definitely had courage,” Morrisey addressed the audience at the memorial. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
