Fighters laugh as they travel on the rear of a transport truck, speeding by a row of several lifeless forms and heading in the direction of the setting Sudan's sun.
"Look at all this work. See this act of mass destruction," one shouts.
The fighter smiles as he points the video equipment on himself and his fellow combatants, their Rapid Support Forces badges visible: "They are all going to die this way."
These individuals are rejoicing over a mass killing that humanitarian officials believe claimed the lives of over thousands of individuals in the Sudan's urban center of al-Fashir last month.
An Urban Center Isolated from the Outside
Having held the city under siege for approximately 24 months, from August the RSF advanced to reinforce its position and blockade the remaining civilian population.
Satellite images demonstrate that fighters started to erect a massive earth barrier - a elevated earthen wall - surrounding the edges of the city, closing entry points and blocking humanitarian assistance.
During the encirclement escalated, seventy-eight individuals were murdered in an paramilitary attack on a place of worship on mid-September, while the international organization stated dozens more were killed in aerial and heavy weapon bombardments on a refugee settlement in October.
Graphic Video Shows Unarmed People Executed
By sunrise on 26 October the RSF conquered the last government defenses and seized the central headquarters in the community, the main facility of the Army Division, as the government forces pulled back.
One of the most horrific footage to appear and analysed depicted the consequences of a massacre at a university building on the western side of the urban area, where scores corpses were visible spread throughout the ground.
An elderly individual clad in a traditional garment remained alone amid the bodies. He looked to glance as a fighter carrying with a weapon moved descending the steps in the direction of him. lifting his firearm, the fighter released a solitary shot at the victim, who dropped to the ground motionless.
"How come is this one even living," another fighter exclaimed. "Kill this person."
Orbital photography taken on October 26th indicated to substantiate that executions were also performed on the streets of el-Fasher, as reported by a report issued by the academic research center.
A key witness who provided testimony said they had seen "multiple of our relatives being executed - the victims were collected in a specific area and all murdered."
Paramilitary Officers Attempt to Carry Out Public Relations
In the days that followed the massacre, paramilitary chief admitted that his fighters had perpetrated "violations" and announced the incidents would be investigated.
Included among apprehended was following a analysis documenting his murders. Meticulously choreographed and produced recording posted on the militia's authorized Telegram account reveal the individual being led into a prison room at a jail on the edges of al-Fashir.
Simultaneously, the paramilitary force and affiliated online profiles started seeking to reshape the story.
Content showing its combatants distributing supplies to residents were disseminated by some accounts, while the militia's media office released several clips purporting to show the proper handling of army captives.
Regardless of the online initiative being used by the RSF, their activities in the city have generated global condemnation.
