Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.

In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
